Welcome to Dudemap. We provide a high-performance environment for geospatial visualization. Our architecture is designed to prioritize data privacy while enabling seamless sharing via cloud-optimized map layers.

1. Data Processing & Cloud Syncing

Dudemap supports multiple geospatial formats, including GeoJSON, Shapefiles, and PMTiles. To balance privacy with performance, we follow a "Local-First" processing model:

• Local Processing: Core parsing and processing of your raw geospatial data occurs locally in your browser. Your original source files are not transmitted to our servers during the visualization process.
• Tile Synchronization: Only when you choose to share a map session, an optimized "Tiled" version of your data is synchronized with our secure cloud storage. This enables shareable links and session persistence without exposing your raw source files.
• Data Management: Synchronized map tiles are hosted on encrypted cloud servers. To maintain platform efficiency, inactive map sessions may be automatically managed or archived after 30 days.

2. Analytics & Service Providers

We use Google Analytics and other industry-standard service providers to understand platform performance and feature usage. This helps us optimize traffic patterns and system load. No individual geospatial coordinates from your map layers are collected or tracked by these analytical tools.

3. Business Transitions

As Dudemap evolves, we may undergo business transitions such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. In such events, optimized map layers and aggregated usage insights may be included among the transferred assets to ensure the continued operation and development of the service for the community.

4. Industry Partnerships & Intelligence

We may collaborate with industry partners to improve geospatial technologies. While your personal identity is protected, we may leverage anonymized, aggregated metadata and tiled data patterns to enhance global mapping infrastructure and platform intelligence.

5. Security & Responsibility

We utilize industry-standard encryption for all data synchronized with our cloud infrastructure. Users are responsible for the security of their unique "Session Links." Anyone with access to your shared link will be able to view the synchronized map layers.
